Metabolic Testing FAQ’s
What Can Metabolic Testing Determine?
Metabolic Testing gives us a comprehensive understanding of your body’s bio-chemistry to determine your body’s overall health and to pinpoint any deficiencies, illnesses or disruptors that are inhibiting your body from performing at its peak performance potential.
— Nutritional Baseline
The results from your testing will give us an overview of your body’s bio-chemistry at this moment in time. This is your starting point in which we will compare all future testing against.
— Metabolic Indicators
These are deficiencies, illnesses or disruptors that are inhibiting your body from performing at its peak. They are clear indications of areas that need attention.
What is a Guest Health History Intake?
The Guest Health History Intake is a comprehensive, 5-page questionnaire that breaks down into 6 sections in an effort to uncover your personal goals, training routine, sleep patterns, eating habits, medical history and lifestyle.
How do you take the Body Composition Analysis?
The Inbody 520 state-of-the-art Body Composition Analysis provides us with both your Resting Metabolic Rate and the percentage of body fat versus lean muscle mass.
— Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Testing
Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) testing is used to determine your specific daily caloric requirements, and is critical in deciphering the number of calories you need each day to lose, maintain or gain weight. Your RMR changes with weight loss/gain, athletic training cycles and alteration of muscle mass. Testing and analyzing your individual metabolic rate gives you the exact measurement you need to succeed in your weight control efforts and athletic performance.
— Body Fat vs. Lean Muscle Mass
A comprehensive muscle vs. fat diagnosis that is essential for monitoring any program focusing on increasing muscle mass and decreasing fat. It’s most prevalent examination is the Segmental Muscle / Fat Analysis which allows us to clearly understand your Muscle / Fat distribution and where you need to focus on Muscle / Fat development.
What is the Blood Analysis?
The comprehensive Blood Analysis is a simple test that identifies Nutritional Deficiencies, Metabolic Disruptors, existing and potential Illnesses.
Depleted levels of nutrients can seriously limit the body’s ability to function at its optimum capacity, fight off infection and potentially lead to life threatening conditions. Vitamin and nutrition blood tests can tell you which vitamins you lack and which you are getting enough of through natural sources.
What is Metabolic Testing?
Our Metabolic Testing breaks down into two separate tests:
— Metabolic Disruptors:
A comprehensive Metabolic Disruptor Panel is a blood test that measures your sugar (glucose) level, electrolyte and fluid balance, kidney function, and liver function. Glucose is a type of sugar your body uses for energy. Electrolytes keep your body’s fluids in balance. They also help keep your body working normally, including your heart rhythm, muscle contraction, and brain function. The kidneys maintain the perfect balance of water, salts, and minerals in the blood. They also filter out waste and other unneeded substances from the blood. The liver helps with digestion and controls the amounts of glucose, protein, and fat in the blood and releases substances that keep your immune system healthy. If any of these systems show indicators in the results, your body will not function to its peak performance potential
— Existing / Potential Health Risks
We will also perform a Blood Analysis to screen for existing and potential health risks. This analysis helps us check the function of your organs —such as the kidneys, liver, thyroid, and heart, identify diseases and conditions such as diabetes and anemia and find out whether you have risk factors for heart disease.
