Momma Rado’s Seafood Gumbo
Momma Rado’s Seafood Gumbo. Why we love it: Easy to make and so delicious. Makes 6 servings.
Ingredients
- 2 cups onion
- 3 cups tomatoes
- 1 cup celery
- 2 cups water
- 2 tsp parsley
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp red pepper crushed
- 1 tbsp bay seasoning
- 3 cups shrimp
- 3 cups crab meat
- 1 cup rice (to serve over)
Instructions
- Boil Rice to Serve dish on - Set Aside
- Saute onion and celery in olive oil.
- In the same pan, add tomatoes (whole) and mash them with a fork once hot.
- Add water and simmer on low.
- After about 10 minutes add red pepper, bay seasoning, and salt and pepper. Next add in your shrimp, while pan is still on low.
- Add your garlic and parsley and cook until your shrimp is almost cooked.
- Then add your crab meat and right before the shrimp and crab are cooked to liking, add your two tablespoons of butter.
