Performance Nutrition FAQ’s
What type of food will I eat?
We believe that the best way to fuel the body is with pure, nutrient rich whole foods. Your customized meal plan will include minimally-processed, organic foods to ensure that your diet is free from chemicals, harmful pesticides and genetic modification. Your customized meal plan will not only take into account your height, weight, body fat, fitness goals, and sport; but also your food likes and dislikes.
How many calories am I allowed to eat per day?
Our program does not rely on measuring, weighing or counting caloric values. Our primary focus is to recommend clean, macro-nutrient foods. Plans are designed with freedom to choose likes and dislikes within a set of guidelines specific to your personal goals. You will be amazed at how simple it is.
What if something I LOVE is not on the plan?
Chances are there is a healthy substitute for every craving. Our goal is to help find substitutes for food that you love that are not on our Optimal Food List.
What if I fall off the plan?
Just like sport training, when you fall, you get right back up. Nutrition is 50% science and 50% habit. It takes years to develop poor nutritional habits. Our goal is to create new habits. Intentional eating takes time, work, and on-going support to truly change your habits. We are here to help you.
I lead a hectic lifestyle, will this still work for me?
Everyone has different schedules and lives, and we understand that there isn’t one nutrition strategy that works for everyone. RADO Performance Nutrition works with you to create a strategy that best fits your goals and lifestyle, creating simple yet effective ways to ensure you’re getting the proper nutrition your body needs to perform at your best on a daily basis. These strategies are built around any special dietary needs and can help those who find it hard to follow their nutrition plans while on the road.
I live out of state, do you offer virtual coaching?
Yes! Virtual coaching is a great way to work together! When you make your appointment, you’ll be asked whether you’d like to meet by phone or using a web-based conference service or face time. During the session, will review your case and send follow up instructions via email.
Can I drink alcohol?
