Nutrition and health labels are like fashion trends, they come and go in popularity like hemlines and Pantone colors. But I often find there’s a lot of confusion when it comes to nutritional terms that we see and hear everywhere. Whether it’s the grocery store aisle or a TV commercial, nutritional buzzwords can be very misleading.
Perfect example is the term “Gluten Free” that we see on everything from candy to pasta, even vodka! We’ve all been hammered with GF labeling and yet most people don’t really know what gluten is, as hilariously proved when Jimmy Kimmel did a piece on his Late Night show asking people who followed a “gluten free” diet.
Antioxidants is another overused and misunderstood word in nutrition. People hear the word all the time but don’t really know what it means and what role they play in the body.
The Almighty Protector
Antioxidants fight free radicals in the body and are vital for protecting all of our cell membranes. They help prevent and even delay cell damage. Basically, they’re the great protector of our cells and it’s thought antioxidants play a role in preventing chronic disease and aging.
Where do we get Antioxidants? Fruits and vegetables are a great source as antioxidants, like Vitamin C, E and selenium. You need antioxidants for basic cellular function, it’s how they make energy and if you’re an athlete or workout frequently, you’ll need even more antioxidants for cellular repair for post-workout and training.
So, why would you take an antioxidant supplement like our RADO Antioxidant SuperFood Greens? Good question. It’s concentrated protection, giving you the equivalent of 20-plus servings of fruits and veggies in a single dose. You don’t need to eat a pound of fruit and veggies to get what’s in our SuperFood Greens in one single dose. It also includes 15 certified organic foods and 70 trace minerals. That’s what I call getting bang for your buck in nutrition!
The number one thing I hear clients tell me about the RADO SuperFood Greens is that they’re delicious. We are not talking about some chalky green powder that you’re barely able to choke down or that taste like dirt. They actually taste good! And because variety is the spice of life, there are five flavors to chose from.
What You Get From RADO Antioxidant SuperFood Greens

It’s a no-brainer to add greens to your morning smoothie but what else can you do with it? One of my favorite things is something I lovingly call Cocoa Crack which is disguised as a yummy treat but full of antioxidants. They are also good enough to stand on their own, just mixed with water. I add them to recipes, smoothie bowls, or any dessert. The possibilities are endless.
