Quick fix to your cravings. Cravings are actually your bodies way of telling you that you are deficient in either a mineral or a nutrient. Clients are constantly telling us that they are craving certain foods, this list will help you find the true cause of your craving. Time to dive deeper into what your body is trying to tell you.
Salty Snacks: You aren’t actually craving salty foods your body is craving chloride. Incorporate more fish, goats milk, sheep milk and sea salt into your diet.
Chocolate: We get this craving more than most. This actually means your body is deficient in magnesium. Add more raw nuts, seeds, avocados, legumes and possibly a magnesium supplement to your diet. We sell magnesium directly here.
Carbonated Drinks: This may be in the form of soda or bubbly water. This is your body requesting more calcium. Dark leafy green vegetables will do the trick. This may include kale, romaine lettuce, turnip greens and or broccoli. Increase your calcium intake and watch the soda cravings disappear.
Bread: Your body is in need of nitrogen. This is found in protein-rich foods; meats, fish, nuts, RADO Nutrition Beef Protein and legumes. A diet high in protein will result in less bread cravings.
Coffee: For those clients that ‘can’t live without coffee’, this could be a few things. Your body may actually just be addicted to the caffeine or your body maybe asking for more phosphorus. Phosphorus will come from animal protein. Again, RADO Nutrition Beef Protein could be your solution as well as chicken, beef, liver, fish, eggs or nuts.
Sweets: Your body is trying to alert you that you need the mineral chromium. Chromium rich foods; grapes, broccoli and garlic will help get rid of that sweet tooth! We also find L-Glutamine helps curb the sugar cravings. 500 mg of L-Glutamine, 2-4 times a day erases those pesky cravings.
Fatty Foods: You really need calcium. Calcium can be sourced from turnip greens, broccoli and kale.
Acidic Foods: Acidic foods usually mean you need more magnesium in your diet. Again, you can use a magnesium supplement here and or consume raw nuts, seeds and or fruits.
